Good Times

The other weekend, we decided to try out the Rainforest Cafe. It is a restaurant in a mall located about half an hour from where we live. I had heard some pretty cool things about it, and we hadn't gone a family day trip in too long. So, we loaded ourselves and our stuff into the Odyssey, and made the journey. We weren't dissapointed. It was so much fun, and the way that place was set up, you relaly would have thought you were in the jungle. It was so cool! It was a bit intimidating for Natalie. The extremely realistic life-size animals included a huge python, a leopard, two elephants, some gorrillas, a crocodile among others....all of which MOVED and made very realistic sounds. Natalie was especially wary of the gorrillas and elephants. There were huge tanks of exotic fish, and the ceiling looked like a night sky with real shooting stars that shot across every few minutes. Every half hour or so, we had an actual "rain storm." The food was a bit pricey, but the experience was worth it, and if you have a Rainforest Cafe near you, I would recommend giving it a try.

After we ate, we strolled through the mall for a couple hours. It was fun to look in all the different stores, even though we didn't buy anything. Niether Cory nor I had been in a mall in over a year...crazy huh?

Lately, Abi has been standing up on her own. (Basically, locking her knees.) It's pretty darn cute. :)

This morning, I was cleaning up in the kitchen, and had put Abi in her swing, and Natalie was playing with some of her toys nearby. I looked over a few minutes later, and Abi had a couple little friends to keep her company, courtesy of her big sister. It was pretty cute. Natalie was saying "Hi, Baby-Abi, here you go. Like it, blue baby and a purple baby? Aww...is so cute, Momma!"

I love my girls.

It's been a long time, but I went to a Rain forest cafe in TX and loved it! I'm glad you got to go! Don't you love those helpful big sisters! Senn is the best when I tell her Gavin is lonely.

Sounds fun! I've been to one in Las Vegas, but haven't ever been with kids - I think it would be a totally different experience!
