So, I basically fell off the face of the blogging world... Part 3

Back for more? Well, here goes our trip from Idaho to Michigan...in REVERSE because I wasn't smart enough to upload the pictures in the right order, and because I'm not willing to take the time to change that :)

Under the Mackinaw Bridge that connects the upper peninsula of Michigan with the main part...it isalso the dividing line of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron

Driving along the coast of the upper peninsula....Beautiful!!

While in Wisconsin, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a cheese factory. YUM!!

Mount Rushmore!

We each took a photo by our birth state at the entrance of Mount Rushmore

Don't you love Natalie's flower clip attached to my shirt?

At the Crazy Horse memorial. (The mountain is in the background) Pretty amazing! The mountain carving will be huge when completed...Mount Rushmore would fit in Crazy Horse's hair. It's that big!

Martin's Cove

While driving through Wyoming, we stopped to see Cory's parents who are serving a mission at the Sweetwater. They are fantastic missionaries, and we had such a great time...wish we could have stayed longer.

Yes, my eyes are closed.

The handcart
I think I'll wear a bonnet every day for the rest of my life... :)

Original Sweetwater school house

Teton mountains near Jackson Hole, WY

Jackson Hole, WY...elk antler arches at all four corners of a park in the middle of town.

Natalie in the car...AND her own little world

The first photo-op of the trip back East. Here we are at the site of our first date (Valentine's Day 2004): We went tubing down the top of a mountain pass that leads into Jackson Hole... then on to Wendy's, a Moose hockey game, and hot chocolate after.
